What is a Podcast?
A podcast is a simple way to regularly receive audio files directly to your computer. It's similar to a subscription to a magazine - except it's free! When you subscribe to a podcast, the weekly audio file (in this case our Sunday morning message) is automatically sent to your computer as soon as the new file is uploaded to the podcast hosting site. When you use "podcatchers" like Google, Yahoo, or iTunes, they detect when a new audio file is available to download. It's very simple. The most common podcatcher (software that downloads podcasts to your computer), is iTunes. Below is instructions on how to install iTunes onto your computer, so you can automatically download our message every week. If you don't necessarily want every message dowloaded on your computer, you can simply select which message you want by going to the website, ccc.podhoster.com. On this site, you can select any message to either listen to directly from the website, or to download onto your computer. We keep our Sunday messages available for the past 10 weeks on the site. If you are seeking messages prior to the 10 week period, please contact Leslie at our church office at ccchayward@sbcglobal.net . She keeps a library of CDs of each message throughout the year, and copies can be purchased for only $2 each.
Here is instructions in dowloading itunes. Simply click on the photo below, and it will take you to the free site where you can download the iTunes software.
You will need to download the software and the run it on your computer. Once the software is installed, follow the following easy instructions. Click on the iTunes Store button. Once you're there, click on the search box on top right, and type "Larry Fryling." (without the quotes) Hit enter. This will take you to the iTunes podcast webpage for Christ's Community Church. Click on the subscribe button, and it will automatically begin downloading messages to your computer every week! It's easy, and it's free!
If you have a different podcatcher already, like Google, Yahoo, Podnova, Newsgator, or Odeo, simply go to our podhosting website, and drag the symbol to the podcatcher that you have (located on the menu on the left). This will automatically subscribe you to the podcast.
