Join us for our series "Minor Prophets, Major Message"—a powerful journey through some of the Bible’s most overlooked books with some of its most urgent truths. Though these prophets may be “minor” in length, their messages are anything but small. Each week, we’ll uncover how God spoke through these voices to call His people back to faithfulness, justice, and hope—and how those same truths speak into our lives today.

Minor Prophets, Major Message
How to Pray

Jesus gives us an example of how we should pray - we often call it "The Lord's Prayer." In this series we take a deeper look at each part of the prayer.

The Book of Ruth

In the book of Ruth we see God's "hesed" love for his people and how his people are supposed to share that "hesed" love with others.

Trueish

Most of us live our lives based on a group of beliefs that we hold true. We often hear it said, "Life you truth!" or "Own your truth!" or "Your truth is your power!" But what if your truth is a trap? Is there a better Truth to follow?

Genaology of God

Matthew begins his gospel by laying out Jesus' family tree. What's interesting about this family tree, especially for that time, is that he includes 5 women. What even more interesting is that these women aren't the type of women you'd expect to see in Jesus' lineage - their lives were filled with scandal and most of them weren't even Jewish! Through these women we see how inclusive the family of God is.

The Greatest of These

There are many words for love in the Greek language. The most powerful is the word "agape." This is the word that is most often used when describing the love that God has for us. This is also the type of love we are called to have for each other. So what does this mean? Follow along to find out.

Ancient Sermons for Current Times

A couple thousand years ago Jesus appeared to a man named John in a vision so that John could deliver messages to seven churches. What were his messages and can they still be of use to our churches today?

Mixtape (Vol. 2)

In the bible there is a book called Psalms that is a collection of songs written by God's people that cover the entirety of the human experience. Are you feeling joyful, sorrowful, grateful, or angry? There's a Psalm for that! Do you feel stressed, worried, relieved, or at peace? There's a Psalm for that!

Jonah

The book of Jonah - it's not about the fish. It's not really even about Jonah. Rather, it's about God's wholehearted pursuit of his halfhearted people (us).

Jesus, According to Jesus

In our world there is so much confusion on who Jesus is and what He came to do. Luckily, in his gospel, John took special care to record Jesus telling us exactly who he is and what he came to do. Join us as we look at these special sayings of Jesus known as the “I Am” statements.

More Than I Can Handle

“God won’t give you more than you can handle.” It’s a great sentiment, if only it were true. We experience more than we can handle all of the time. This is never a promise God makes, rather, He promises us tools to endure the more.

False Gods

Gone are the days where we would forsake God in order to worship a golden calf and yet we have allowed so many other things to take its place. We bow down to the alters of love, money, power, success, even religion and let them control our lives - but God is so much greater! It’s time we turn back.

Habits that Help

We all have helpful habits when it comes to our physical and mental lives - eating right, working out, breathing excercises, spending time outside, etc. - but what habits are helpful for our spiritual lives?

Grow In and Go Out

Christ’s Community Church exists to help people grow in the likeness of Jesus so that they can go out and show his love to the world. So what does it really mean to Grow In and Go Out? Join us for this series as we look to the life of Jesus and find out.

Our Response

If all we have to do to receive the salvation that Christ offers is believe, then how should we live our lives after we believe? What should our response be to salvation and the Spirit's work in us?

Terms of Salvation

The Bible is a collection of writings from many different authors, written to many different people, containing many different languages. Join us as we do a deep dive into the meaning of salvation and the languages and terms that the authors of scripture use to describe it to their diverse readers.

A Wretch Like Me

What is sin? Why are we so seemingly helpless to it? What is our only hope? Join us as we seek the answers to these questions, renew our memory of the integrity of creation, and sharpen our eye for the beauty of grace.

Back to the Basics

One of the most basic parts about being a christian involves us sharing our faith with people who don’t share our faith. And yet, so often we do so in a way that turns people away, shuts people off, and even harms other. So how do we relearn the “art of evangelism”?
